How to Display Political Buttons
- 1). Pin your political button to the front of your shirt or jacket and wear it around during the day. If you are looking to help out the campaign of the person sponsoring the button, this will be a great way to engage strangers in conversation about the upcoming election. Buttons will stand out when they are worn on your shirt, if for no other reason than it is hardly common practice to walk around with a button on your shirt. Proudly sporting a political button reflects your confidence and trust in your candidate or party. Be sure you do not misbehave while wearing a political button, as it will reflect poorly on your candidate. You are representing that campaign when you wear the button.
- 2). Place your button on the back of your backpack. Similar to wearing the button on your shirt, this provides a constant walking advertisement for the candidate. If you are standing in a long line, or walking down a busy street, your button will invariably be the subject of great attention to an easily distracted crowd. For maximum exposure, make sure you are wearing a plain, unmarked backpack, and that your political button is the only button on your pack.
- 3). Attach your political button to a promotional poster or a bulletin board in a public place. In this manner, buttons act in a similar way to lawn signs, by providing an unknown number of passerby a consistent view of the candidate in a public place. Bulletin boards in schools, shopping centers, chambers of commerce, and libraries are just a few examples of places to display your political button. Always be sure to check with the location first to ensure that such displays are permitted.
