    • 1). Disconnect the low voltage transformer of the Invisible Fence from the power supply. Locate the terminals that connect the Invisible Fence wires to the transformer.

    • 2). Loosen the screws that hold the Invisible Fence wires to the terminals on the transformer, using a blade screwdriver. Remove the wires, making sure to remember which wire went to which terminal.

    • 3). Attach an RF choke to the terminals of the transformer. Attach the wire from one end of the choke to one terminal and the wire extending from the opposite end of the choke to the other terminal. Attach one invisible fence wire to each of the wires extending from the RF choke.

    • 4). Tune an AM radio to 600 mhz and plug the transformer back into the power supply. Listen for a low pulsing tone from the radio. Walk the Invisible Fence line and note when the tone stops, indicating a break in the line.

    • 5). Unplug the transformer from the power supply. Remove small amounts of soil at a time using a small shovel or trowel where you located the break. Use caution when digging down to the wire so you don't create more damage.

    • 6). Locate both ends of the wire at the point of the break. Strip back the insulation from the ends with wire strippers and twist the broken ends together. Thread a wire nut on the twisted wires to securely hold them in place.

    • 7). Place the repaired wire down in the ground and cover it completely with soil. Connect the transformer to the power supply.
