Andhra Pradesh is one of the rich states of India that have the tough historical background. This state is also on top visited state for having best religious pilgrimage too.. Apart from the Tirupati Balaji, a number of destinations are in this state that has historical, religious and political importance too. Some of the main places to visit in Andhra Pradesh are listed below with the brief description for your reference:-

Tirupati Balaji Temple: In this state, the richest temple organisation of the world, Tirupati Balaji, is located. Fame of this temple is self - explanatory that near to this place an airport has been constructed to facilitate the visitors. Swami Venkteshwara is seated here and taking care of the state too.

Hyderabad: This is the state capital of Andhra Pradesh and having the imprint of Muslim rulers. The great Char Minar, Makka Masjid, Osman Safar lake are some of the best places to be visited in Hyderabad. Char Minar was built in 1591. This beautifully designed building is located on the eastern bank of Musi River. This river is considered as a life line of the Hyderabad city. The unique architecture of this building having double stories and well managed space for offering Namaz on top floor is constructed amazingly. The carving on pillars, Minarets and on inside portions of the building is amazing. The construction of this building was made through hard stones, sand stones and lime. Makka Masjid was also constructed with large scale. This Masjid can accommodate more than 1000 Namazees at a time. Recently the same has faced a terrorist attack.

Thousand Pillar temples: This great temple was constructed by the Kakatiyan kings. The exact dates of construction of this temple were not known but this temple was constructed between 11th and 12th century. It is also believed that the King Rudra Deva has constructed this temple originally and renovation work was done by the Kakatiyan kings. Though, during Muslim invasions, this temple was destroyed but later kings of the state again constructed and renovated it with same dignity and pride.

Vishakhapattanam: This city is famous for its beautiful beaches. The cost of the city touches Bay of Bengal. In this city, some caves are located which are told to be constructed before one million years ago. No correct dates are available in support of construction of these caves. These caves are built on lime stone rocks. The architectural brilliance of these caves is self explanatory regarding the fine work of artisans of that era. This city is also the center of water transport from other places of the state. This is one of the best harbors located in the state. A good amount of export and import is done from this embarkations point only.

Kuntala and Talakona: These are the places blessed with the natural beauty. The waterfalls of these places are quite amazing. The fall of water on the beds of rocks is just different that the normal waterfalls. The turtle found here is the rarest water species in the world.

Simachalam, Kurnool and Chittor are some other destinations in Andhra Pradesh and need to have a glimpse of the cultural richness of the state.
