Pontiac G5 Information
- The Pontiac G5 was introduced in Canada and Mexico before it was offered in the United States. It was also known as the Pontiac Pursuit in Canada and the Pontiac G4 in Mexico.
- General Motors used the GM Delta Platform for the Pontiac G5 that offered front-wheel drive and independent suspension.
- The Pontiac G5 was offered as a two-door coupe in the United states and as a four-door sedan in Canada and Mexico. It's available as either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, and comes as a base or GT model.
- General Motors announced in April of 2009 that it would discontinue several Pontiac models, including the G5. The entire Pontiac brand name will be discontinued by the end of 2010.
- Most Pontiac G5s, including the last 2009 models, are valued at less than $20,000.
