Where All Diets Fail

It seems that many of the world's leading dietary nutritionists adopted one-size-fits-all dietary solutions that they think can be universally applied. They simply forget one basic rule: that everybody is different, after all they say "one person's food may be someone else's poison" and I will explain you what I mean in a second.

While to some vigorous exercise can have great health and fitness results,to others can cause enough bad to have them checked in the hospital. While to some eating sugar can be like using fuel for energy, to others and especially overweight people can be causing more weight gain and fatigue. While to some eating nuts is beneficial for their health(a lot of good fatty acids and nutrients), to others can cause trouble only by tasting them because of high allergy intolerance.

Imagine an athlete following a programme, tailored made by his coach for achieving his future goal (winning an olympic gold) and then another athlete follows the same plan, very possibly will fail or will take him much longer to arrive at the same level of fitness.

An interesting point and common mistake we all do at some point in our life is believing that if somebody famous or a friend was successful in something (ex. losing 20 pounds in 20 days), we can achieve exactly the same results. But that alone does not necessarily guarantee equal success to you.

So going back to my head title "where all diets fail" any serious diet plan needs to address the basic rule above (everybody is different) and not instead promise you super fast results. Its this rush that brings the wrong results. Understanding which foods are good for you and which are not is the primary step.

An element of an efficient diet plan is the duration of the process, as I said again before everybody is different and so the time needed to lose all the excess fat the right way, we all have different metabolisms and body characteristics. So don't blame yourself if the progress is not what you expected and instead stay focused, motivated, set realistic goals and do not try to do something extreme (fad diets).
