With practice they found that 70 year olds did just as well as the 20 year olds.
They found that by stimulating your mind, you preserve your memory.
Scientist say your brain is like a muscle, if you don't use it, you loose it.
Other research found that the more you use your brain, the less chances of getting Alzheimer's disease.
They discovered that people with less than an eighth grade education had twice the risk of developing Alzheimer's than those with a formal education.
By keeping your body physically active you get more blood flow to the brain.
By keeping your brain constantly learning, you get less diseases.
Your mind will benefit from an active social life.
Playing games, doing crossword puzzles, learning new things, like a computer, new technology and having stimulating conversations.
Your brain also needs to relax, it can't always be wound up to tight or it kills off brain cells.
Stress is the leading cause of mental deterioration as you age.
Stress can kill of your valuable cells in your body as well as your brain.
Don't hold things in, talk about them.
Focus on your breathing and relax.
Do some meditation.
