With the economy in a recession, and unemployment at it's highest level in years, many people are looking for new, less conventional, ways to earn a living.

Would you believe that it takes a lot less to start an affiliate site than most people think? Most people think that there is some big "secret" out there that they do not know about, and unless they pay for it, they will never know the "secret".
If they could just find out what that secret is, they would work their fingers to the bone earning "easy money" on the net.
Well, here is the big "secret".
There is no "secret".
If someone tells you otherwise they are just trying to separate you from your money.
So, you think you have what it takes to be an affiliate marketer? Well, if your reading this, your right.
All you need is a computer and an internet connection.
Looks like you have it.
Your off to a good start.
Now for the hard stuff, you need an e-mail address that you can use just for your affiliate business.
You do not want all the adds and promo updates from your affiliate pages going to your personal email address.
If you need one, Google has a very good one.
So does Hotmail.
Both are free and easy to use.
Let's see, from here you need a few more things: A product, a niche, and traffic.
That's it.
That's It? Yes, that's it.
Everything else that you do is covered or under those three main points.
Many of my friends have asked me what it takes to become an affiliate marketer, and that is what I tell them.
Granted, work, work, and more work will be involved to make your affiliate marketing business profitable.
Keep in mind that affiliate marketing is not a get rich quick ticket out of your day job.
But once you have it up and running, it can be very profitable and a lot of fun.
