Your Health And A Piece Of Bread!

My mother in law said to me so many times, "If you have your health and a piece of bread, you have everything.
" Well I have my health and more than a piece of bread therefore I must have everything.
If someone has everything why would they want for more? Aaron Neville a popular vocalist once said in a Television interview that peace of mind is everything.
Mother Teresa said; "When you pray for others, you will receive faith, when you have faith, you will love unconditionally.
When you love unconditionally, you will have total peace of mind.
In total peace of mind all of your hearts desires will come to you.
" The question is why do some people that seem to have everything still want more.
I think we long to experience our own spirit.
The genius that is within all of us.
If we can find the key to awaken our genius, we will serve humanity with that unique genius.
Talent can only do what it can.
Genius does what it must! I believe the real secret is to discover and awaken your genius and ask the only question; How may I serve humanity with humility? What can I do? I did volunteer work at the local Covenant House in New Orleans a few years back.
A young man that had run away from home to the New Orleans French Quarter to live happily ever after was in my class room.
He said, "Hey mister are you rich?" I replied to him; "well you first have to define rich.
I have my health and I have food in my refrigerator at home.
If you mean do I have money, well my wife Marie handles the money.
She is a money manager.
I am not sure how much she has saved for a rainy day.
" The young man continued to push the issue.
He said; "If I was rich, I could do what I want and then I would be happy.
"I then told the class of young run aways that I would give a $20.
00 bill to anyone in the class that could tell me what was wrong with that statement.
1.
'If I was rich.
2.
I could do what I want.
3.
I would be happy!" All the young boys and girls started shouting out all kinds of answers.
I took a piece of white chalk and start writing on the caulk board.
1.
If I was rich.
2.
I could do what I want.
3.
Then I would be happy.
I told them that in southeast Louisiana, we live in crawfish country.
Crawfish move backwards and sometimes we do things backwards.
It should say; 1.
If I was happy.
2.
I could do something to help others.
3.
Then I would have money.
Now if I managed the money I would have more money.
The first step is to be happy.
You have to want to be happy, the same way you want to be healthy, wealthy, or loved.
Some people are happy when they are unhappy.
You can buy more happiness with a heart filled with joy, than a pocket filled with money.
The true giver is always the receiver of joy, and what you want the most wants you.
How much happiness can you stand? How may I serve humanity with humility? What can I do?
