- 1). Click the start menu button.
- 2). Locate and open the "Security Center" icon in the start menu.
- 3). Choose the resource tab and click on the "Change the way Security Center alerts me" button.
- 4). Uncheck the boxes for Firewall, Automatic Updates and Virus protection.
- 5). Click the "Ok" button. The pop-ups for Windows Security Center are now disabled.
