Create a Look of Illusion at Your Wedding Reception
We like to use tulle yardage to make chair bows.
The typical chair bow is made of a satin like material or organza and is usually 9 inches wide by 10 foot long and has a right and wrong side to it.
The use of tulle is so much easier because it has no right or wrong side to it and you can make a much fuller bow for less money.
Tulle yardage comes in 10 yard, 40 yard or 400 yard bolts and is 54 inches wide.
By cutting the tulle right down the middle you have a 27 inch width which will gather down to whatever width you wish.
Tie the length you have chosen (9 feet is a good length) around your chair back making a simple bow.
You can pull the tulle out to fluff the bow to the desired effect and with the length we have recommended you will have tulle streamers going down the back of the chair.
You have now achieved an illusion bow that adds a more romantic dreamy look than a satin chair bow.
Draping your headtable, cake table, gift table, guestbook table and any other special tables with tulle also gives a light airy feel to your reception.
If you have chosen white linens, look for tulle in the main color of your wedding and use that color tulle for contrast.
Another cheap way to decorate your tables with tulle is to lay it down the length of the table and tie it with ribbon every 3 to 4 feet and puff up a little bit.
This really works well if you are using long banquet tables.
You can scatter a few flowers or flower petals in the tulle to dress it up even further.
Maybe you would like to add acrylic crystals to the tulle for illusion and sparkle.
There is no limit to what your imagination can produce
