Beautiful Spots to Propose in Colorado
- The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park is located in Canon City, Colorado, and boasts a suspension bridge 1,178 feet above the Arkansas River. The bridge contains both a roadway and a walkway for pedestrians. The "Cliff Walk" is an area on the rim of the canyon where you can get married at a later date, after the proposal of course. You can also head to "Point Sublime," which offers a gazebo overlooking the canyon and the Arkansas River below. Pick a time at sunset or sunrise for a breathtaking view. Rocky Mountain National Park is a nature lover's dream and offers many beautiful locations to stage your proposal. You can spend the day fishing, kayaking, hiking, skiing or horseback riding. When it comes time to pop the question, climb one of the peaks, such as The Diamond, and ask your beloved to marry you looking out at the pristine wilderness. If you are less adventurous, take a drive to a scenic location in the park, such as Trail Ridge Road, which is the highest paved road in the U.S. - Head to Seven Falls and South Cheyenne Canyon to seal the deal. You can find the falls on the list of international waterfalls by National Geographic. Take the stairs or the elevator to the Eagle's Nest Observation Platform at the top for an unforgettable view. There are numerous canyons and peaks in the area, as well as hiking trails and picnic shelters. For lodging, stay at the prestigious Broodmoor Hotel located nearby.
