Inequalities and Discrimination
Very often we come across these words ' inequalities' and 'dicrimination'. Inequalities and discrimantion spoil the society and further bring more and more discrimination in the society.
Very recently a domestic worker, who worked in my neighbours house,reported me that life for her has become a burden , as working as a domestic worker, she had to face discrimination in the soceity and does'nt deserve a better position in the society.
What does the society require in terms of status? Very difficult to answer..... some say it is money, some say it is power... and others say that its both power an money. Very less say about culture and education...
The lady migrated several years back in search of a job in Noida. She has completed 12th in the arts stream , much better than some rich businessmen in Noida who did not have any formal schooling, but earn in crores. As she did not get any proper job, she selected to work as a domestic worker.... Today she earns better, say around Rs. 12000/ per month.
One day she went to purchase a mobile in sector 18 market in Noida. She was surprised to see that nobody responded to attend her in the shop. The sales persons were busy attending other customers .......The lady got liitle annoyed.. and she eagerly asked one salesman about the prices....He laughed and insulted her telling that ...from where did she get so much money.....She has to justify for purchasing the mobile....
The other day she went to attend a function in the public park........She was not allowed to enter....This makes her frustated ....She boldly takes the decision that she must start a revolution to put an end to such discrimination.....
My neighbour understand her distress and assures her for a treat to the McDonalds, but under a condition that she has to work for more hours........another discrimantion.....
