    Shoe Cake

    • A cake in the shape of a shoe is an impressive way to wish your teen daughter a happy birthday, especially if you use the colors and style she likes best. For instance, if her birthday is in the summer and she loves to wear sandals, use loaf pans to bake birthday cakes that you can trim to look like the base of a flip-flop. Add strips of licorice to resemble the straps of the sandals, and use small pieces of candy to accent the straps in her favorite color. A birthday cake with a high-heeled shoe theme is ideal if your teen loves to dress up. Make a layer cake and cover each layer in her favorite colors, and cut out fondant pieces in the shape of shoes to decorate each cake layer. Bake a large cookie in the shape of a shoe to rest on top of the birthday cake.

    Mirror Cake

    • A birthday cake that features a mirror is perfect if your little girl loves playing dress-up. Bake a square or rectangular cake; ice the cake in your daughter's favorite color, or cover the dessert with fondant. Spray edible glitter on the cake, and use a small from the craft store without borders or a handle. Place icing on the back of the mirror to use as "glue," and paste the mirror to the top of the cake. Use cookie cutters to shape pieces of fondant like jackets, skirts, and shoes, and place these shapes on the sides of the cake and around the mirror.

    Name Brand Cake

    • If your daughter has a favorite designer, use the colors of the designer's logo to create a birthday cake. Bake a rectangular cake and cut it to resemble a shirt, and cover it in her favorite color fondant. Create a fondant rectangle that has blue top and bottom borders. The rectangle should be white on the left and red on the right, to resemble the Tommy Hilfiger logo. Cut out the letters that spell her name and "happy birthday" for a cake that resembles shirts she wears often. Or bake a layer cake covered in black and white fondant. Use cookie cutters shaped like the letter C, and intertwine two C's to make the Chanel logo to place on alternating cake layers. Create shapes of shirts, lipstick, and perfume bottles to represent the fashionable Chanel products your teen daughter admires.

    Handbag Cake

    • Use two circular cake pans to make a birthday cake that resembles a fashionable handbag. Cut the cakes in half when they're done baking, and place them flat side down. Use icing or marshmallow spread to connect the circle halves, and cover them with colored icing or fondant. You can use licorice or melted Tootsie rolls as the purse's handle, and shape fondant into the brand name you want to include on the purse--or cut your daughter's initial out of the fondant to personalize the cake. You can paint the purse handle with edible glitter, and line the sides of the purse with Skittles or M&Ms to resemble colorful or decorative seaming.
