    • 1). Troubleshoot an inoperative scooter in the "On" position. Check if the device is in sleep mode. Turn off the scooter, then turn it back on again, to remove the unit from sleep mode.

    • 2). Replace a blown fuse. Open the main control panel, unscrew the cap and examine the condition of the fuse. Remove a blown fuse and replace it with a 2.5 amp fuse).

    • 3). Check for a secure connection between the plugs and connectors located on the rear of the device, and at the base of the steering handlebars; tighten any loose connections.

    • 4). Move the unit away from devices that emit electromagnetic energy. Mobility medical scooters are susceptible to EMI --- keep the device away from radio and TV broadcast antenna towers. Do not use cell phones or CB radios while operating the scooter. When exposed to electromagnetic energy, a scooter may move on its own, release its brakes or move in the wrong direction.

    • 5). Move the unit indoors if it's been exposed to rain. Let the unit air dry for 24 hours. Moisture and rain pose serious a threat to the printer circuit board (PCB). The PCB sends power to the motor; it is an electronic component located inside the control panel. A water-damaged PCB may need replacement.
