Cure anxiety and Panic Attacks: Learn To Quickly Eliminate Panic Attacks

If you have ever suffered a panic attack you will understand how you can e filled with terror thinking that you could have another attack. Unless you have actually suffered from an attack it is impossible to understand that feeling.

There is an almost overwhelming amount of information available to people using the internet. It is a case of where do I start, how do I sift through all that information.

The first step should be to go and see your Doctor, depending on your symptoms some people say that their first thought was they had suffered a heart attack. It is a relief, once you have been checked by your Doctor to hear that although the symptoms were very unpleasant they are not going to cause any long lasting damage.

Before you rush in and take any prescribed medications, think about other ways you might be able to control these panic attacks.

These suggestions worked for me and will work for you.

If you feel yourself getting tense and are worried that things are going to get worse:
  • Just get up and walk around, changing your physical state quickly helps you to relax. This will have an immediate effect.
  • If you are in a position where you cannot just get up and walk around, think of other ways to change your physical state. Shoulder shrugs will help to relive the tension. Your shoulders are usually very tense, even if you do not realise it.
  • The next more well known idea is to change your breathing. By breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth start off with shallow breathing and gradually change to slow deep breaths

These simple relaxation techniques will help at the time of the attack , but to get your life back and eliminate panic attacks you need to be able to train your mind to change the way you think about panic attacks.

One very powerful tip that that helped turn my life around is stop worrying about the next panic attack and most importantly the way to do that is to really believe that a panic attack will not hurt you. You know this is true because you have already survived previous attacks and you can do it again.

In fact you can take it to the next level and look forward to the next attack, you will be amazed how your mind can control these things.

Medications will always only mask the symptoms but they will not cure the reason for having the attack and some people find they can suffer various side effects from the medication.
