Hotels

• Old Capitol Inn (oldcapitolinn.com) is a boutique hotel where you can have your wedding reception in the Gala Ballroom. The 5,000-square-foot room accommodates up to 700 people. Couples can choose from small or large and indoor or outdoor locations at the inn. Museums

• Mississippi magazine named the Mississippi Museum of Art (msmuseumart.org) as "one of the top places to have a wedding reception in the state." Small groups or a party of up to 600 guests can be accommodated in the Mississippi Arts Pavilion. You and your guests have access the museum interior as well as the outdoor porch and gardens. Tables and chairs are arranged according to your needs. Complete catering services are offered.
  
  The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum (msfame.com) has a 2,300-square-foot conference center for weddings featuring audiovisual equipment, a catering kitchen and free parking. • The 330,000-square-foot Jackson Convention Complex (jacksonconventioncomplex.com) has a ballroom that can be transformed as a venue for your wedding. The complex can make arrangements for floral décor, and audio/visual needs and catering services for a group of up to 5,000 people. You will not need to worry about security, sound and light production or equipment rental because the complex will provide all of these services for you.
  
  

Private Clubs

• You can have your wedding in the Capital Club (capitalclubms.com) whether you are a member of the club or a guest. A banquet coordinator will attend to your needs whether you choose to have your wedding in the club's private dining rooms or banquet facilities. Named "Best Wedding Venue" for 2008 and 2009 by WAPT's A-List, a television station serving Jackson, Mississippi, the club also offers you and your guests panoramic views of downtown Jackson. Capital Club can accommodate small and large groups.
  
  Weddings for both members and guests of the University Club of Jackson (clubcorp.com) can take place in one of the club's seven private dining rooms or formal dining room. Event planners at the club will take care of all the details including the invitations, personalized napkins, food, decorations, wedding cake, photographer and entertainment.
