In a family of four children, the characteristic features and personalities of each of the children depends not only on the hereditary factors but also to a large extent on the order of birth too.
Many people have researched this fact too.
In most cases the eldest child tends to be more serious and grow up to be very responsible and become leaders while the youngest ones grow up to be more affectionate, attached to the other members in the family, more outgoing and mischievous.
The children who are in the middle often become the black sheep and grow up to becoming highly independent beings who also like to remain aloof.
If you see the interaction and communication pattern in the family, you will find that the eldest of the children are in constant interaction and get the serious attention of the parents.
The youngest ones get more attention for being young as well as youngest.
The middle ones often have to seek attention from the parents.
With the first-born child, the experience being new for the parents, every small development or achievement of the child is highlighted and celebrated.
He or she gets so much of attention.
You can see numerous photographs of the childhood captured in the family albums.
By the time second and third child grow up, parents are no longer over awed.
You will find that the middle born ones too have photographs and celebrations taken, but by far they are fewer in number when compared to the eldest and the youngest ones.
The middle born ones are always found to be seeking to create their own identify and stand out from amongst the crowd.
This makes them develop certain traits like being able to take risks, choosing options that are not normally chosen and walking the difficult path, proving themselves and making a name for themselves besides evolving as self made men with their own identity.
They can be very aggressive, assertive and quite rebellious too.
When it comes to the middle born children, overtly they tend to be serious and quiet but inwardly they are very highly emotional and need to be given the attention that they seek.
Being reserved and quiet does not necessarily mean that they are in control of their emotions.
In this case there is a inner need to reach out and bond with others.
It is for the parents to become sensitive to this fact and give more attention to the middle ones and bond with the child emotionally.
Then you will find that the grow up to be confident and achievers.
They tend to be good negotiators and mediators too.
Take the case of super achievers like Bill Gates, Donald Trump, John F Kennedy, Barbara Walters, and Madonna etc.
They were middle born ones and your child can be there too.
