Demo Day

Definition:

A "demo day" is a scheduled event at which golfers in attendance have the chance to try different golf clubs.

Demo days are usually held at a driving range or on-course practice facility, but can also take place at a pro shop that has swing bays where golfers can make swings.

Demo days sometimes make equipment from multiple manufacturers available for golfers to try, with representatives from those club manufacturers possibly present to answer questions.

But often a demo day is staged by representatives of one specific club company.

Demo days are almost always free to attend. They are announced in advance by the hosting facility, and can also be found by visiting company Web sites. (See our Demo Days Locator for links to manufacturers who list demo days online.)
