Burns are one of those annoying obstacles in life no one can avoid.
It could be from the oven or just cooking oil, either way; burns can be extremely painful and can be the culprit of hideous scars.
If you don't have any burn ointment in your household, fear not, for there are many natural remedies to relieve pain, and prevent those dreadful scars from showing up.
The first of which are tomatoes.
All you have to do is cut a tomato in half, and apply it to the burn area for five to ten minutes.
These vegetables are well-known for relieving burn pains, and should work effectively for you as well.
You may have heard that honey is a great way to get rid of acne, but honey in general is a fantastic healer.
You can use this common household condiment as a way to prevent scars.
Apply a small portion of honey directly onto the burn area and let it dry.
Cold honey works the best to relieve pain, and if you still don't have relief after it dries, you can just put a bit more on - it's not going to hurt anything.
Although less common, Papaya can also be used as an effective burn remedy.
This fruit eliminates dry skin and increases the cell regeneration process.
Cut an inch of Papaya and place it on the area with masking tape.
Sometimes putting food on your body might not seem like the ideal choice.
Unfortunately, if you don't have an ointment, it may be your best solution.
Investing in some burn ointments will more than likely be your best option.
Kitchen accidents are bound to happen, they're pretty hard to avoid after all, but it's essential to realize which remedies are effective and how to ease the pain immediately.
Of course, if the pain is unbearable, seeing a doctor is in your best interest.
