Crosley Record Player CR86 Instructions
- 1). Prepare the Crosley CR86 record player for the first use once unpacked. Tighten the suspension screws in the corners of the turntable by turning them clockwise with your fingers. The turntable operates at three speeds, 33 1/3 rpm, 45 rpm and 78 rpm. Using Crosley's "Stack-O-Matic" technology, you can load up to six records at once.
- 2). Position the function switch to "Phono" to begin playing your records. Move the tension arm counter-clockwise to position it over the tone arm. Load the records, one at a time, onto the spindle in the center of the turntable. Lift the tension arm and turn it clockwise to position it over the records. The tone arm will automatically pull down into position.
- 3). Select the size of your records, using the selection switch on the Crosley CR86. The turntable plays 7-,10- and 12-inch records. Select the correct speed for the records you are playing, using the speed switch. Turn the turntable switch to the "On" position. The turntable will begin to turn. Flip up the needle cover on the tone arm to uncover the record needle.
- 4). Use the "Auto" setting on the turntable switch to begin playing your records automatically. The tone arm will lift and position itself at the beginning of your record. After the record is finished, the tone arm will return to the tone arm rest until the next record drops into position. This process will repeat itself until the last record has been played.
