How to Make a Dove From a Dollar Bill

    • 1). Lay a dollar bill flat on a table so that it is positioned length-wise from you. Make it into a square by bringing the bottom and the top of the bill toward the center. It is all right if they overlap slightly in order to make a square. Press flat.

    • 2). Turn your bill so that it is in front of you in the shape of a diamond with a corner pointing toward you.

    • 3). Bring the bottom point to meet the top point. Keep the edges flush and press flat to form a triangle.

    • 4). Fold the triangle in half, bringing point to point, and smooth the edge with your fingers.

    • 5). Open the triangle so that you have the larger triangle before you. The fold you have just made will provide a guide for your next folds. Take the bottom point on the right side and bring it up to the top point, then flatten so the edge is flush with the center line. Repeat on the left side.

    • 6). Lift your square from the table in both hands. Fold under so that you form a triangle again.

    • 7). Turn the triangle so that you see three closed folds along the top.

    • 8). Hold the point on the left and fold down toward the bottom point. Open back up again. This fold will serve as a guideline for your next fold.

    • 9). Hold the two top sections, using the crease you have just made as a guide and "squash" the paper to fold down so that the center creases align. You will see an inverted triangle at the bottom of the fold if done correctly. Flip and repeat on the other side to form the second wing.

Hold the front neck piece. Use your pointer finger to press in along the fold to invert the fold and form the beak of the dove.
