What Will "They" Come Up With Next?
Then the phones start getting smaller.
Then they make them play music, take pictures and do almost anything except make a cup of joe.
The next big thing was streaming video from phone to phone or off the web.
Making it possible for another cool thing, watching TV on your phone.
It might seem like a far-fetched idea for most of us who use our cell phones for making and receiving calls.
But to the young crowd who spend most of their time SMS-ing, MMS-ing, tweeting, and the like, off their cell phones, this is just obvious.
Since they do just about everything else with their phone, why not watch the "box" on your phone.
I first saw a friend of mine who likes to keep up to date with things at a wedding watching the Cricket and Rugby on his I-pad while the groom was giving his speech.
Not long thereafter the I-pad was making the rounds so that everyone could see the score...
who says you can't be in two places at once? Coincidently he was using a mobile decoder with blue tooth and had to pay per channel every month.
It was much cheaper than the regular price since the image is low quality.
So I decided to look into the matter.
Is there another way to get satellite TV on your phone without the decoder in your pocket and the monthly subscription fee? It terns out you can! I found a company that uses optimized streaming technology on your cell phone to watch HD Satellite channels from any location on the globe! They sell an application that uses the internet connection on your phone to stream the channels from servers around the globe via the cell towers to your phone.
Meaning you buy the program and watch, no monthly fees.
I thought that it is "cool" "They" will probably make it in 3D next? The really good thing about this is that the young crowd can do something besides vegetate in front of the TV in the house.
And the rest of us don't have to be at home or in a pub to get the score, or watch that show.
Now you can be antisocial anywhere! That is just my crazy thinking, I am pretty sure there are many advantages to having something like this.
Who wants to spend the day at home, or rush home just so as not to miss the game or that show? Why not take it with you to the park, the beach, or next to the fish waters.
Use it to persuade that couch potato, or armchair athlete to come outside and go somewhere with you since they wont miss a thing.
Some cell phones I see now come out with a mini projector in so that you can project an image the size of your average TV screen on the wall.
I wander if this will take off? Will we start using cell phones for everything? I think I now know what "they" will come up with next, a cell phone that straps to your back and transports you to where you want to go? Oops they have already started incorporating cell technology into cars...
your guess is as good as mine...
