The government system of Accra is consisted of Mayor - council where mayor is authorized with unlimited power. This member of Government is applied by the President of the Republic of Ghana and have approval by the city council where as public wants to choose mayor itself.
The present mayor of Accra was elected in 2009 Alfred Vanderpuije, H.E President ATTA Mills appointed him.
Assembly is based on 104 members 70% are elected where as 30% are choosen by Govenment members.Land making planning is done by the town and country planning department accra plan an important role in National politics as it is the capital of Ghana. In april 28 , Alhaji collins Dauda, The Minister of Transport That Government look towards the intercity transport corporation. According to him Government was trying its level best to overcome traffic problems.
It was declared by Brigadier General Edward lord Attivor the managing director of STC that they have used their client and they are not able to stand according to their expectation because of not proper management. Brig-Gen Attivor said lot of work has to be done to give comapany its back status and government has to provide helping hand for this vice President John Dramani Mahama said that Government will take step improve the economic condition. according to him Ghana takes inspiration from singapore and hope that there will be a day when they will uplift their economic standard.
