How to Get Rid of a Pimple With Materials at Home
- 1). Wash your face twice a day with a gentle facial cleanser. Do not scrub your face too much, since this can exacerbate any pain or inflammation caused by the pimple.
- 2). Cut up a lemon, an apricot or a cucumber and rub a slice of the fruit on the pimple. Lemons contain citric acid, an alpha hydroxy acid which helps to exfoliate the skin. Cucumbers and apricots contain powerful antioxidants that help to keep skin healthy and free of toxins. Apricots also contain vitamin A, which helps fight acne and blemishes. Don't rub these fruits on your face too much, though, as this can irritate your pimple.
- 3). Poke a hole into a vitamin E capsule and squeeze the solution onto your finger. Apply the oil to your pimple and leave it on over night. Also make sure you are consuming the daily recommended doses of vitamins A and E, since a deficiency in these nutrients could cause more frequent breakouts.
- 4). Drink green tea and plenty of water. Green tea is an antioxidant and an anti-bacterial. Not only can it reduce inflammation and kill the bacteria that causes acne, but it also cleanses the skin and body of toxins. Also avoid eating any greasy, oily foods. While food may not necessarily cause break-outs, the oil or grease can rub off on your face, clogging your pores even further.
