How to Dress at Music Festivals

Glastonbury Festival is probably one of the most famous music festivals in the world and is notoriously popular with celebrities who love the atmosphere and the rural setting.
There is often a lot of coverage on the television so even if you are not lucky enough to be on of the 100,000 people attending each year, you can enjoy the music and see what everybody is wearing.
Glastonbury Festival is held at Pilton on a farm in somerset, so the terrain is mud.
If you are new to music festivals, knowing what to wear can be a quandary.
Regular visitors to Glastonbury Festival will realize that just about anything goes as far as style is concerned.
For those "creative" dressers, the summer season of music festivals is a perfect opportunity to really put those creative style combinations into a high gear, it seems that the wackier the better, when it comes to Glastonbury.
For anybody else, it may not be quite so easy deciding on your weekend wardrobe so here are some tips.
1.
Pack light.
It is usually quite a walk from either your car or then nearest public transport stop and you will have to carry your tent.
2.
The washing facilities will be minimal so take clothes that have "staying power" and do not show the dirt, you may be wearing them all weekend.
You also don't want to take clothes that need specialist cleaning when you get home; mud could feature heavily and certainly the Somerset "red" mud is hard to shift.
Reading Festival may not be quite so muddy but you may regret wearing pale colors.
3.
Wellies.
Hunter wellies are highly fashionable at present but on the higher end of the price market.
There are lots of different brightly colored wellies for sale, so pick a pair that are in a color that suits you, they may be covered in mud by the end of the weekend but at least you know they suit you! 4.
Take several light layers.
The English weather is very changeable and the temperature can fluctuate.
Light layers mean you can get exactly the right coverage to be comfortable and believe me, you need as much comfort as you can muster.
5.
Raincoat.
Whatever the weather forecast might be, take wet weather gear.
Again the English climate can change so quickly.
6.
Go for it! Even if you are not a "creative" or a "dramatic" dresser, this is your opportunity to experiment; you can get away with anything! If you stick to colors that suit you, close to your face and styles that flatter your body shape you will look fantastic.
So why not try an unusual hat, or a wacky pair of boots?
