    Reading Prescriptions

    • Working as a dental technician, you may start your day by reading prescriptions to determine what type of dental product you will need to construct.

    Moldings

    • As a dental technician, you may spend a portion of your day making moldings of patient's teeth. This model will serve as the basis for dentures and other prosthetic devices.

    Testing

    • Dental technicians test tooth models on devices that mimic the movement of a patient's jaw during biting to determine functionality.

    Consultation

    • A consultation with the dentist may be necessary to resolve any problems with the design of dentures or other dental devices.
