- 1). Sit on the operator seat. Push down on the clutch pedal on the left side of the fender deck. Slide the gear shifter on the right side of the fender deck, next to the operator's seat, into the neutral position.
- 2). Press down on the brake pedal on the right side of the fender deck. Push the throttle all the way up into the CHOKE position. Turn the key to the ON position. Once the engine starts, pull the throttle down to the FAST position.
- 3). Check the mowing path to ensure there is no debris laying around. Pull up on the yellow switch on the right side of the dashboard; this will engage the mower blades.
