How to Get Rid of My Search Memory on My Computer
- 1). Click "Tools," then "Options," "Preferences" or something similar on the main menu of your browser.
- 2). Go to the privacy options for your browser. In some browsers, such as Internet Explorer, this will be located under "Content" or a similar tab. In others, it will be under a tab called "Privacy" or something similar, as is the case with Mozilla Firefox.
- 3). Select the option to clear your saved forms and search history under "Auto Complete," "Private Data Settings" or something similar. The keywords that you searched for will now be deleted.
- 4). Click the "History," or similar option, on your browser main menu. Scan the list to assure that none of your search phrases appear. You can also click the arrow next to the "Back" or "Forward" button icon on your browser main menu to view recent pages.
