  • Charminar: This is one of the major historical locations that you should not miss by any chance. Located at the heart of the city, the monument stands at a height of 46m and is widely known as the Arc de Triomphe of the East. Built in the year of 1591 AD, the monument was built by the Great Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah for symbolising brotherhood and communal harmony. 
  • Mecca Masjid: Regarded as one of the hoary and colossal mosque of the country was built by Quli Qutub Shah during his regime. It is said that the mosque can accommodate around 10,000 worshippers at a single time inside its huge structure. This historical masterpiece shows eccentric work of sculpture as its arches are chiselled from a single piece of stone and exalts the classic evidence of Holy Koran being sculptured onto it as well as on the doors. At the entrance you can see marvellous marbled graves of the rulers of the city, such as that of Asaf Jahi and the Nawabs.
  • Golconda Fort: Situated 11km away from Hyderabad, the fort was built in the 13th century by the Kakatiyas. The Fort complex is situated at an apex height of 400 feet above the sea level. The complex consists of four acropolis each embellished with royal apartments, temples, stables, mosques and halls etc. What adds more to the beauty of the fort is in its architectural designs that emanate ornate gates, pavilions, entrances and domes! 
  • Salar Jung Museum: The museum has unique collection of beautiful pieces of fine arts, jade artefacts, weaponry, painting, tapestries, sculpture etc. Salar Jung Museum is the third largest museum in India. Some of the most important processions include that of the wardrobe of Tipu Sultan, swords of Aurangzeb, paintings of Raja Ravi Verma and collection of furniture from the time of Napoleon Bonaparte.
