The Met Bar
The Met Bar is an iconic members only bar, within the Metropolitan Hotel. It is well-known for its late night private parties that have attracted celebrities. The Met Bar is open to hotel guests which may be your best chance of trying this sophisticated venue as it has a strict door policy from 9pm to 3am.
The Met Bar opened in 1997 and has a reputation for being a place to be seen. Entertainment is top notch as you may well catch some live music or cabaret, or hear the top London DJs.
Interior Style
It used to be red leather booths and an abstract mural by British artist Jonathan Huxley that looked like a cave painting, in my opinion. It's now orange and brown leather seating and the space can be divided by chain curtains.
Cocktails
The Met Bar's mixologists (which the best cocktail-creators are now called) are known for their flair and creativity and regularly update the cocktail menu with more unique drinks.
In the afternoons you can still enjoy The Met Bar as they have their Brit Rocks & Tea Pots afternoon tea.
