    • 1). Measure your bust with a measuring tape. Add a 1/2 inch to the measurement for seam allowance and write the final figure on a piece of paper.

    • 2). Purchase a soccer jersey in a XL or XXL size.

    • 3). Lay the jersey front side up on a flat surface in front of you. Draw a straight horizontal line half the length of your bust measurement at the top of the jersey with your ruler and fabric chalk.

    • 4). Add two inches to the length of the line you just drew and draw a second horizontal of this length at the bottom of the jersey.

    • 5). Draw a straight line between the right end of the top line and the right end of the bottom line with your ruler and fabric chalk.

    • 6). Draw a straight line between the left end of the top line and the left end of the bottom line with your ruler and fabric chalk. You should now have a shape that resembles an "A" in the middle of the jersey.

    • 7). Cut the "A" shape out of the jersey with your sewing scissors.

    • 8). Turn the jersey over so the back side is facing upwards. Place the "A" shape you just cut out on top of the jersey as a template and pin it into place with sewing pins. Cut around the "A" shape with your sewing scissors. You now have the front and back pieces of your dress.

    • 9). Place one piece of the dress on top of the other, with the right sides of the jersey facing inwards.

    • 10

Pin the side seams of the dress together with sewing pins.

    • 11

Fold 1/4 of an inch of material over at the bottom of the dress and pin into place with sewing pins.

    • 12

Fold 3/4 of an inch of fabric over at the top of the dress to create the elastic casing.

    • 13

Sew along the side seams and around the hem and elastic casing with your sewing machine. Remember to leave a gap on either side of the elastic casing to insert the elastic later.

    • 14

Take a 1.5 inches off your bust measurement. Measure and cut a piece of flat elastic this length.

    • 15

Attach a safety pin to one end of the elastic and insert it through the gap in one side of the elastic casing. Thread the elastic all the way around the top of the dress until you reach the opposite end of the elastic. Pin one end of the elastic to the other with a sewing pin.

    • 16

Sew across the width of the elastic with your sewing machine. Hand sew the elastic casing shut on each side of the dress.

    • 17

Turn your soccer dress right side out and try it on.
