Get the Scale Moving Down by Pulling Your Motivation to Lose Weight Up
If you want to get the scale moving down but you are finding it hard to keep your motivation to lose weight up at a level that spurs you into action then I have a few tips to share with you that will give you a motivational tug in the right direction.
Motivation is a funny thing, we tend to search for it outside of ourselves somewhere.
For instance, we look to others to motivate us or we try to find inspiration in a story or at the gym.
But motivation can not be found "out there" that is because true motivation comes from inside.
My first tip for you is to create a crystal clear desire for weight loss.
Sit down with a pen and pad of paper and start listing reasons you want to lose weight and don't stop until you uncover that reason that really inspires you.
This might mean that you write a long list, you might go through 10 or 20 reasons before hitting on that one that truly inspires you but when you find it you will find all the motivation you need to get the scale moving down.
My second tip is to be your own best friend.
One of the hardest challenges in weight loss is not giving up the late night pastry but instead not sabotaging your success with negative self-talk.
Know that you are worth the effort and encourage yourself just like your best friend would encourage you.
Lastly believe that you can do and be more.
You have proven this tip to yourself in the past, haven't we all had something that we believed we could do even when others said we couldn't? And didn't you generate an enormous amount of motivation from this belief? Believe that you can lose this weight and keep it off and work on keeping that belief strong by reminding yourself of why you can succeed.
By keeping your motivation to lose weight up you will find that getting the scale to move down easier.
Work on building your desire and belief in yourself and be kind to yourself and that motivation will grow.
