The Infertility Solution - How to Get Pregnant Without Expensive Art Treatments

If you and your partner are dealing with infertility, you've probably researched most of the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) treatments out there, but have you read anything about the Wurn technique or myofascial release? These two terms are pretty much synonymous, and they refer to a special massage technique that works on the soft tissues of the body, especially those around the abdomen and the pelvis.
The Wurn technique was actually accidentally discovered to help boost fertility in women, and, in fact, it has been proven through various scientific studies to be the infertility solution for many women.
Who it Works For There are many, many reasons why a woman may be infertile, and different infertility treatments are helpful for different women.
The Wurn technique is particularly helpful for women who are infertile because of adhesions in their fallopian tubes or other reproductive organs.
Adhesions are basically unnatural joining in the soft tissue, and they can be caused by things like trauma, C-sections, pelvic inflammatory disease, and radiation.
The Wurn technique was actually begun as a way to release these adhesions, but not with the view of boosting fertility in mind.
For many women, these adhesions mean not only infertility but also painful sexual intercourse, general joint pain and tension, and other symptoms.
When tissue trauma causes adhesions in the fallopian tubes, many problems can occur, including obstruction, which keeps eggs from being fertilized or making it to the womb, and issues with the mobility of the finger-like extensions in the fallopian tube, which also prevent the egg from being fertilized.
The Wurn technique, then, works for many women who have experienced pelvic and abdominal pain, who have had surgeries that may have left them with scar tissue, or who have unexplained blockage of the fallopian tubes.
How it Works Basically, in myofascial release, a trained therapist works very carefully with a woman's soft tissue, helping to release tight areas in the connective tissue.
These tight areas, which are adhesions, are released by gentle stretching and elongation, and they can be cured permanently in a few sessions of therapy.
Unlike ART treatments, the Wurn technique is natural, non-invasive, and it also has benefits other than increasing fertility, including overall lessening of pain and tension.
What it Costs Perhaps the best part of the Wurn technique for many couples struggling to conceive is the cost.
While surgically removing blockages from the fallopian tubes can cost upwards of $10,000, myofascial release costs about $130 per session.
Most couples end up spending between $4,000 and $5,000 for between ten and twenty sessions.
This is a far cry from what they may have spent on surgeries and many of the more expensive ART techniques.
How Well it Works If at this point you still need more convincing that myofascial release could work for you, there is scientific evidence out there to help you believe.
One study published in the Medscape General Medicine online journal shows that ten of fourteen infertile women conceived within a year of undergoing myofascial therapy, and in another pilot study, four of eight women who underwent the therapy became pregnant, and another two showed marked improvement in their fallopian tube blockage problems.
Another way that the Wurn technique works well is in conjunction with other forms of ART.
For instance, one study showed that women who underwent the therapy before undergoing in-vitro fertilization were much more likely to become pregnant than women who did not undergo the therapy first.
In fact, two-thirds of the women who used myofascial release became pregnant, which is a big improvement on IVF's normal success rate of 41%.
Although scientists are still doing more research into the Wurn technique, it can obviously prove a very effective and much less expensive alternative to ART treatments, and also compliment them for increased chance of pregnancy success.
