How to Use Pantyhose as a Jelly Bag

    • 1). Test the pantyhose for size and weight bearing. Jellies are light, but can take up a surprising amount of space. If there are holes or runs near the toe, the bag will not hold as much. Fill one leg with as much as you want and grasp the hose a few inches higher than the jellies to test your pantyhose.

    • 2). Cut the hose to the desired size. With your test jellies still in your hose, cut the leg of the hose to the size you want. You will need several inches to tie the end and secure the jellies inside. It's easier to cut more length and trim later. Be generous at this stage: an easy rule of thumb is 12-inches from the toe.

    • 3). Tie the end of the jelly bag. A simple knot is likely the best option. If the knot is too elaborate or tight, it will be difficult to open the bag and eat the jellies. Using a rope or ribbon won't be secure enough and it will come open, especially as the jelly bag bounces around. A ribbon could be used as a decoration later on.

    • 4). Decorate the jelly bag. Remove the contents of the bag so you have a flat surface. If you'll be using a glue gun, place a piece of material or paper in the jelly bag to avoid gluing the sides together. Look for colourful items, especially if the pantyhose were a neutral color. Try buttons, stickers, material scraps for gluing onto the bag. If this is a gift, write a note or message to the recipient and tie to the top of the bag.
