The pre-surgical condition of the shoulder muscles and tendons play the biggest role in the patient's recovery time. If the muscles and tendons are fit and in good shape, recovery time is minimal as the post surgical improvement depends on the patient's tendons and muscles.

Shoulder replacement surgery can be highly beneficial as the procedure is intended to reduce shoulder pain and restore mobility in patients with end stage shoulder arthritis or some other major trauma fractures.
