How to Frame a Corner in a Shed
- 1). Lift both of the walls into place. Ensure that the corner is aligned properly.
- 2). Attach each wall to the subfloor by screwing 3-inch construction screws through the bottom edge of the frames, using an electric drill. Place one screw every 16 inches.
- 3). Attach each wall to the ceiling by placing screws through the top of the frame into the header, working in 16-inch intervals.
- 4). Secure the two wall frames to one another by screwing through the join where the two frames meet. Place screws at 16 inch intervals.
- 5). Measure and cut a section of 2-inch by 4-inch (2x4) lumber to the same height as the studs in your wall frame, using a tape measure and circular saw.
- 6). Slide the 2x4 into place behind the shorter stud in your framed corner. This 2x4 will serve as a mounting surface for drywall during the finishing process.
- 7). Secure the 2x4 to the stud, placing construction screws every 16 inches.
