Equine Muscle Release Therapy
- Find the spot on the horse that is causing it pain or distress. Then work the horse's body at certain points, moving along paths of body energy, and touching the horse's body and skin in certain spots, and with certain movements. This is supposed to stimulate the energy in the horse's body to a positive balance, and allow the nerves in the surrounding fascia to "release" the cramping muscles
- A horse often requires more than one treatment of equine muscle release therapy to keep his energy "in balance." Depending on the severity of the problem, treatments may occur daily or weekly, in sessions lasting from 20 minutes to an hour or more. In show jumping, eventing, racing or other high-impact athletics, an Equine Muscle Release Therapist will see the horse on a regular basis, both before and after a competition.
