How to Wrap Paracord to a Stick

    • 1). Unravel the cord until it is 3 inches longer than the amount of the stick you wish to cover with the wrap. Do not cut the cord.

    • 2). Tape cord to the stick a half-inch below the top of where your wrap will be. Keep the unraveled portion dropping down toward the bottom of the stick.

    • 3). Wrap the cord around the stick, starting a half-inch above the tape. Press each successive loop tight against the underside of the previous loop.

    • 4). Press the portion of cord beneath the tape tight against the stick in a straight line toward the bottom, and continue wrapping, using the looped cord to secure the cord beneath the tape to the stick. Continue until you reach the end of your desired wrap region. You should have several inches of cord left that are not wrapped.

    • 5). Tie a tight knot with the portion extending from beneath the wrap and the cord end you were using to do the wrapping. Tighten the cord against the stick before securing the knot.

    • 6). Trim any excess cord after making the knot in the cord below the tape.
