The Sunshine Coast is located on the southeastern part of Queensland.
It is one of the best summer locations in the country as at peak season, the population swells to around fifty thousand tourists.
It is also located very near the state capital of Brisbane.
Also located on the banks of the Pacific Ocean and extends up to Blackall Range.
The town of Gympie is just a half an hour drive from Noosa Heads and Caboolture.
There are three distinct areas in the Coast, with Noosa to the North, Maroochy at the center and Caloundra to the southern end.
This fifty-kilometer stretch is the tourist area and has become the center of tourism in the area.
Another area is the Mooloolaba, where Mooloolaba Beach is found.
The rich and moneyed go to the Noosa region while thrifty backpackers go to the other parts.
The tourist economy is ably supported by the Coast's commercial enterprises.
There are many businesses that ably support the industry as they dominate the city compared to the many shopping malls in the area.
The Sunshine Coast Excellence in Business Awards is aimed specifically to the upstanding and deserving businesses in the area.
With the many businesses focused on tourism, there are many opportunities both for the tourists and the individual workers moving to the Sunshine Coast.
Since the focus of the area is the beach, there are only a few businesses that cater to the hungry stomachs of the tourists.
One place to go to when in the area is the Esplanade on the Mooloolaba waterfront.
Since much of the development has not been properly guided, there are many structures that have been haphazardly built and laid out.
Often, the better option would be to bring your own food, as there are many cooking implements in the area.
The accommodations in the area though also make you opt for cooking indoors as there are many hotels with their own kitchens.
Another plus to the area is the sub-tropical climate with a great amount of coastal breezes.
It has been advised also that you be protected from the sun when outdoors, as there is quite a glare when out on the beach.
Aside from the beach front, there are many inland locations that are also well worth visiting.
As you can see, there are many tropical paradise areas in the city.
In opting on moving to the Sunshine Coast, there are also great opportunities available in the city.
The many businesses in the city are at full throttle when summer season comes, but work and play also comes on a seasonal basis.
On the off months, other businesses come to the forefront that caters mostly to the locals in Sunshine Coast.
The region remains to be one of the best places to visit in Australia.
It is even been openly declared in Australia Forum that "It is one of the few paradises left in the world and you can make it your own once you have decided on moving to the Sunshine Coast soon enough.
