Located in south Western Europe is the beautiful country of Spain. It is situated on the Iberian Peninsula and its capital which is also the largest city is Madrid. Officially, Spain is referred to as kingdom of Spain and has a population of more than 46 million people. In the world, Spain is ranked at number 51 in terms of area covered. There are some autonomous regions numbering to 17.

Spain's official language is Spanish. Other languages spoken in Spain are Euskera, Gallego, Valencian, and Catalan. All these are independent languages. They are spoken mainly in Basque country, Galicia, Valencia and catolina. It has the lowest population s compared to other countries in Western Europe Scandinavia not included. In the Mediterranean coasts and the island regions, languages that are most spoken include German and English. Local workers, residents and tourists communicate in these languages quite easily.

When it comes to beaches, the area covered is more than 8,000 km. there are also many landscapes to be enjoyed in Spain. The climates are also quite diverse. The Almeria region is very desert like while in the northwest, winters experience rains for some 20 days every month. The regions have different vegetation and this will be greatly enjoyed and appreciated when one decides to have a holiday in the country.

Cities in Spain are also a delight. They have some of the best facilities to cater for all tourists need. They cover accommodation, food as well as entertainment. Some of the cities include Valencia, Seville, Murcia, Malaga, Granada, Barcelona, Madrid and Alicante. The different cities have different things to offer thus each city will be a new experience in a way.

Spain is a country which has been known as to having some of the best festivals and celebration. Partying is a way of life in Spain and for all party lovers; this is the place to be. The discotheques and nightclubs in Spain have been known to operate even in the odd hours. This makes nightlife one of the major attractors making Spain a destination for friends and all other people who love the party life.

Included in the Spanish territory are the island destinations in both the Mediterranean and Atlantic oceans. The Canary Islands and the Balearics are an all time favourites. Ibiza in the Balearics is one of the most famous party destinations in Spain.

Festivals, religious processions, bull fights and flamencos are major highlights of the land. The landscapes in Spain are also quite breathtaking and so one can rest assured that Spain is a place where you will have an educative as well as a relaxing time.
