Paul McCartney Fenway Park

Ex- Beetle, Paul McCartney will be hosting a live concert at Fenway Park, Boston today August 5th 2009. However it seems that for once his event isn't entirely sold out yet. Perhaps the novelty of going to see an ex beetle at a baseball pitch isn't going to fly in this economy?

Personally I wouldn't fork out the extra cash for the tickets, let alone the flight to see him play at Fenway. I mean, I'm all up for extravagent concerts (prefferably not at sports venues, but you know... whatever) but I'm not spending extra cash in the economys current state to do so.

Apparently according to one website, at almost every concert on his North American trip he's played almost identical lists including; Get Back, Blackbird, Sgt. Pepper's Lonley Hearts Club Band, Jet, My Love, Live and Let Die just to name a few as well as some recent solo's such as Flaming Pie and Dance Tonight.

McCartney's current band sees two guitarists Rusty Anderson and Brian Ray as well as keyboard player Paul Wickens. Paul McCartney has apparently been changing instruments during concert, sometimes swapping several instruments during one show.

However I don't feel right totally bashing up Paul for his silly Fenway Park idea, after all, he's still an amazing musician and played a key part in 20th century musical development.
