How to Put a 1988 Yamaha 350 Warrior in Reverse
- 1). Bring the machine to a complete stop. Make sure that no throttle is applied and that the engine is idling at the manufacturer's recommended speed.
- 2). Pull in the clutch so that it is completely disengaged. This can be accomplished by either pulling the clutch lever on the handle bars or by shifting the transmission into neutral.
- 3). Locate the drive select lever on the right side of the vehicle right above the engine. Pull up on the black knob and then shift the lever back until it stops. When you release the knob, it should snap back down into its original position.
- 4). Check that the reverse light is illuminated. This light can be found under the center of the handle bars and will light up orange when the ATV is ready to be reversed.
