    • 1). Take a standard-size marshmallow and paint alternating yellow and black stripes around the length of the marshmallow. This will form the body of the bee. Wait for the paint to dry before continuing. Over time, the marshmallow will harden.

    • 2). Cut a 2-inch by 2-inch piece from black construction paper. Roll the paper up into a cone shape. Use glue to hold the cone shape in place. Cut the bottom uneven portion of the cone off so that it is flat. Apply glue to the bottom, wide portion of the cone and affix it to the end of the marshmallow. This will be the bee's stringer.

    • 3). Put glue on the back of two, plastic, googly eyes and apply them to the front of the marshmallow. These are the bee's eyes.

    • 4). Draw a smile below the two eyes using white paint and a thin brush.

    • 5). Curl up the end of a pipe cleaner into a spiral about 1/2-inch wide. Roll down the other end of the pipe cleaner until it is in a ball 2 inches from the spiral. Apply glue to the spiraled end and affix it to the top of the marshmallow to one side. This will be the bee's antenna. Repeat this step for the second antenna on the other side.
