Hot Christmas Toys for the 2009 Holiday Season

Every year in the late summer parents, retailers, and toy enthusiasts start anticipating the release of the upcoming holiday season's "Hot Christmas Toys" lists.

The two most popular and widely-known lists are put out by Toys"R"Us and Toy Wishes magazine. They have been fairly accurate in predicting the season's hottest, must-have, popular toys.

Funfair Hot Dozen 2009 (formerly Toy Wishes Magazine's Hot Dozen)
Parents, sellers, and toy reviewers alike used to wait anxiously every year for the publication of the Toy Wishes Magazine Hot Dozen. This list attempted to predict the twelve hottest, hard to get, toys of the season. Most years the list seemed to be right so often that the list became the guideline for people interested in the holiday toy season. Although we've bid farwell to Toy Wishes, there is still a Hot Dozen list, but now it is known as the "Funfair Hot Dozen".

2009 Toys"R"Us Fabulous 15
Every year the ginormous toy retailer predicts the must have toys of the upcoming holiday season. Toys "R" Us has had a good record in this arena. With its huge marketing and advertising budget behind these toys, this list has to be accurate.

Retailers such as Amazon.com, Target, and WalMart try to keep these toys in stock, but customers will find that if they wait until the last minuet many of these toys will be out of stock. One alternate source might be eBay. As these toys become more scarce, their prices on eBay will go up, but at least they will still be available for purchase.

If you are considering purchasing any of the toys named in these lists, then you might want to pick it up before the holiday rush gets underway--the sooner the better before all the retailers run out.
