Money Jar With Adjustable Counter Instructions
- 1). Add AA batteries to the compartment underneath the jar lid. Many money jars come with a set of batteries, but you might need to purchase and add your own if your money jar does not. Verify that the battery size is actually AA (which most of them are) and then place the batteries in, secure the compartment and screw the lid onto the jar.
- 2). Adjust the coin acceptor slot to the appropriate thickness for the coins you will be inserting. Depending on the kind of coin sorter you purchase, the coin counting could be inaccurate if the acceptor slot is not set properly. For example, you could set it for quarters and insert dimes and the acceptor won't read any value because dimes are much thinner than quarters.
- 3). Read the digital counter screen and watch your coin values add up. If you set the selector correctly, the counter will add your coins up every time they are inserted into the jar via the slot and the amount will increase. If the batteries are fresh, the counter should keep displaying the current amount within the jar until the jar is full, after which it can be manually reset to zero.
