Data Analysis

Statistical analysis of the data consisted of descriptive statistics and bivariate correlations. Correlations were calculated using the Predictive Analytics Software (PASW, version 17.0) to investigate the relationship between various continuous demographic variables (e.g., infant's birth weight and number of children), maternal confidence, maternal depression, and parenting stress (total score and three components—parent distress, parent-child dysfunctional relationship, and difficult child).
