Attachment Parenting International (API) is a non-profit organization founded in 1994. Attachment Parenting International identifies their goal as "to educate and support all parents in raising secure, joyful and empathic children in order to strengthen families and create a more compassionate world."
API has created "8 Principles of Parenting" which collaborate with Dr. William Sears theory of rearing children known as attachment parenting.
