• The Pound and the Dollar are two of the world's strongest currencies. The Pound Sterling, or simply Pound, is the official currency (along with the Euro) of Great Britain. • The United States Dollar, created by the Coinage Act of 1792 to serve as the official currency of the United States, also serves as the official or de facto currency of a number of world nations.
