Treating a Sprain With Homeopathy

Learning to treat a sprain with homeopathy could save your hours of wasted time spent waiting, thousands in professional fees and a lot of pain and slow healing.
There are two options for homeopathic treatment - you can get professional help or you can learn to use the common home prescribing medicines at home.
Actually, it's best to do both.
It's great to be able to help yourself, especially when your homeopath is away on holiday.
But you can't treat every condition with the common medicines.
Treating a sprain may be one of these conditions, if it has developed into a chronic condition or if it has been complicated with other treatments.
But you may be able to resolve it totally, or at least help a recent sprain, by the use of the appropriate homeopathic medicine.
Any injury is always best started off with the homeopathic medicine Arnica.
This may be all that you need to completely resolve the sprain.
However, some sprains will not be totally healed with Arnica.
In this case, you need to be very aware of the symptoms of the sprain.
For example, the homeopathic medicine Rhus tox is one of the great medicines for sprains that feel more stiff than painful.
So you find yourself (or the part) moving about restlessly, to alleviate the stiffness.
Rhus tox is often called the 'rusty gate' medicine as when you first move, your joints feel very still.
This improves with more movement.
But eventually the pain prevents further movement, and so the stiffness settles in.
And so the cycle continues.
Cold conditions make the sprain feel worse, and warm, even hot, applications relieve it.
The characteristic sprains of Rhus tox tend to come about from over-exertion, over-use or over-training.
