Video: How to Crochet a Cross Stitch Over Two Stitches
Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Phyllis of Many Creative Gifts, and in this segment I'm going to show you how to cross stitch over two stitches. You're going to do your regular double crochet stitches and as you are working across the row, when you decide you want a criss-crossed stitch, what you're going to do is do your yarn over, you're going to skip the next loop and work a double crochet stitch into the next stitch. Then you're going to go back and do the stitch that you just skipped. So yarn over, insert behind the one you just did, well actually in front, pull up a loop from behind, yarn over, pull through two loops, pull through two loops and you've created a cross stitch. Then you can go back to doing your regular double crochet stitches and let's create another crossed stitch. Skip the loop, go into the next loop, do your double crochet stitch, yarn over, go back to the loop you skipped, pull up a loop, finish off your double crochet stitch and then resume doing your regular double crochets. I'm Phyllis of Many Creative Gifts and this segment covered how to cross stitch over two stitches.
